Creating, editing and deleting templates
Templates allow you to automatically create standard text and email messages
Follow these steps to create your own templates:
- Click the Profile icon on the top-right of the VETTX screen and select App Settings.
- Click the Templates link on the left of the screen. Your list of existing Communications Templates will appear.
- Click New Template. The Template form will appear for you to fill in the requested information.
- Give the template a Title. This should be specific enough to know exactly what this message template is used for.
- Select the Source as either Email, SMS (text message) or both. Whichever Source you select will have access to this Template.
- Enter the Subject of the message. Your recipient will see this when they receive the message.
- Write the body of the message in the large text area. If you would like to personalize the message, use the field options available in the three Details menus:
- Seller Details: These offer name and phone number data for the seller
- Agent Details: These offer name and email information about you
- Vehicle Details: These offer information about the vehicle you are inquiring about.
- When finished, click Save to see a preview of the message as it will look when you send it. If you are happy with the format, click Save.

- To create a new template, click on +New Template in blue, Name your template, select a source, then add a subject and the body of your message.
- To make the message personalized, use the grey information bubbles. Anything within the black brackets will be prefilled by the VettX system.
- To edit, remove, or preview templates, click on the 3 dots under Actions on the right-hand side.
